News DeskAjman, UAE – The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has announced the eagerly awaited return of the Run Ajman Race, scheduled to take place at Al Safia Park on Saturday, April 20th, commencing at 3 PM. In collaboration with Endurance Sports, this event is poised to become the premier running extravaganza in Ajman, offering a diverse range of distances and categories to accommodate participants of all ages and abilities.
With a backdrop of Al-Safia’s scenic cycling and running track, the event will present various race distances, including 2.5K, 5K, and 10K, along with a special 1K fun run tailored for children. His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, underscored the significance of the 2024 Ajman Running Race, emphasizing its role in showcasing Ajman’s prowess in sports events and positioning it as a global tourist hub.
The race aims to spotlight Ajman as a premier destination for sports and entertainment, enhancing its profile both domestically and internationally. Catering to individuals of all ages and skill levels, the event offers categories ranging from 1km races for children up to 12 years old, to 10km races for participants aged 16 to 50 and older, drawing over 400 competitors across various age groups and capabilities.
In addition to the thrill of the races, Run Ajman will feature cash prizes for the 10K distance in both Emirati and Open categories.
