Dubai, UAE – Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the Founding Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, has unveiled a comprehensive response plan aimed at aiding the UAE community in the aftermath of recent adverse weather conditions. The initiatives, totaling AED 17 million, underscore the private sector’s pivotal role in bolstering governmental efforts during times of crisis.

In a swift and coordinated effort with the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Emergency Management in Dubai, and in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Al Habtoor Group is utilizing funds from the late Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi’s legacy to repair homes belonging to Emirati families affected by the inclement weather. Furthermore, the Group is extending its hospitality by offering accommodations at its hotels, with several Emirati families already finding refuge at the Group’s properties in Al Habtoor City.

These initiatives align with Khalaf Al Habtoor’s unwavering commitment to supporting the UAE community during challenging times, emphasizing the significant role played by private organizations in fostering resilience and solidarity. The endeavor echoes Al Habtoor Group’s previous endeavors, such as the provision of 300 hotel rooms in July 2022 to shelter families impacted by rains and floods in the Eastern Province. With a capacity exceeding 600 individuals, this initiative exemplifies the Group’s steadfast dedication to community welfare.

Additionally, in collaboration with the Dubai Community Development Authority (DCDA), Al Habtoor Group is facilitating weddings for residents of Al Lisaili through the ‘Dubai Weddings’ program at the Habtoor Grand Hotel in Jumeirah. This partnership aims to ensure that scheduled ceremonies proceed without interruption despite the recent weather disruptions.

Expressing solidarity with affected families, Khalaf Al Habtoor emphasized the paramount importance of restoring stability and normalcy to their lives swiftly. He reiterated the Group’s commitment to standing alongside government agencies and charitable organizations to confront natural challenges and uphold the UAE’s values of cooperation and solidarity.

As the UAE navigates through this period of adversity, Al Habtoor Group remains steadfast in its resolve to support families and communities, underscoring its readiness to provide essential aid to overcome crises safely and securely. The initiatives spearheaded by Al Habtoor Group underscore the collective spirit of unity and support that defines the UAE society.
