News DeskAbu Dhabi, UAE – Bayanat, a leading provider of AI-powered geospatial solutions, has announced its plan to deploy a fleet of autonomous vehicles at Abu Dhabi’s inaugural DRIFTx event at Yas Marina on Yas Island. The fleet, which includes TXAI taxis, Robo Minibuses, and Automatic Rapid Transits (ARTs), will be operational from April 25-26 during the event’s opening hours.
The autonomous fleet is expected to enhance visitors’ transportation experiences and become a major attraction at DRIFTx. The fleet, operated in partnership with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) and the Integrated Transport Center (ITC), will transport a large number of passengers during the two-day event.
The vehicles will transport key visitors from W Hotel to various drop-off locations across the Yas Marina campus. Upon arrival, visitors can use the Automatic Rapid Transit (ART) to move between the parking lots and the main entrance. Visitors can hail a ride through the dedicated DRIFTx app, which uses what3words precise location technology to ensure smooth pickups and drop-offs.

The success of TXAI, the MENA region’s first Level 4-enabled autonomous vehicle fleet introduced in 2021, is attributed to the merging of AI insights with Bayanat’s gIQ capabilities.
