Abu Dhabi, UAE – Bayanat, a leading UAE-based provider of AI and geospatial solutions, has teamed up with FlyNow Aviation to give visitors at the DRIFTx event a unique virtual experience of flying over Abu Dhabi in FlyNow’s revolutionary electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft called the eCopter.

The partnership leverages Bayanat’s expertise in digital twin technology, cloud infrastructure, autonomous solutions and other smart mobility capabilities integrated with FlyNow’s augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) systems. This allows attendees to experience a realistic simulation of traveling in FlyNow’s fully autonomous, electric eCopter vehicles.

Abdulla Al Shamsi, Bayanat’s Chief Operating Officer, highlighted the collaboration aligns with the UAE’s sustainability goals by introducing an environment-friendly mobility solution to reduce traffic congestion and emissions from traditional transportation modes.

FlyNow’s CEO Jürgen Greil emphasized their eCopter platform can provide a safe, affordable and scalable new form of urban air mobility that can help relieve traffic challenges globally as cities continue expanding.

FlyNow’s modular eCopter family includes single and twin passenger models as well as cargo drones, all utilizing redundant electric propulsion systems designed to achieve airliner-level safety standards. The eCopters can fly up to 50 km while carrying passengers or cargo at altitudes between 150-300 meters.

Event attendees can visit the Bayanat pavilion until April 26 to view a static eCopter display and experience virtual demos of Bayanat’s smart mobility solutions like autonomous robotaxis and minibuses.
