Dubai, UAE – Dubai Police and the Digital School, under the auspices of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, have cemented a partnership aimed at bolstering digital community initiatives and uplifting education standards worldwide. The memorandum of understanding was formally signed on the sidelines of the DIHAD exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, signifying a joint commitment to advancing the Dubai Government’s vision of enhancing life quality and fostering strategic partnerships.
Representatives from both entities, Major General Dr. Muhammad Nasser Al Razzouqi, Director of General Operations at Dubai Police, and Dr. Walid Al Ali, Secretary-General of the Digital School, sealed the agreement. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansoori, Director of the General Department for Community Happiness, alongside other senior officials from both parties.
This collaboration underscores the dedication of Dubai Police, under the leadership of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, to engage in and support initiatives that contribute significantly to societal development and elevate happiness levels. Major General Al Razzouqi expressed his confidence in the partnership’s ability to enhance digital education standards globally, praising the Digital School for its relentless efforts in this regard.
Dr. Walid Al Ali echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the memorandum’s role in promoting digital community initiatives and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise. He highlighted the “Donate Your Own Device” initiative, which aims to provide underprivileged students worldwide with access to digital education resources, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all by 2030.
Brigadier Ali Al Mansoori lauded the memorandum’s support for the “Donate Your Own Device” initiative, noting its potential to bolster humanitarian efforts and extend educational opportunities to disadvantaged communities globally. He underscored the initiative’s alignment with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emphasizing the pivotal role of digital education in shaping the future of the education sector.
The memorandum outlines various avenues of cooperation, including the exchange of expertise in digital education, organizing educational events, and utilizing Dubai Police’s channels to promote the Digital School’s initiatives. Additionally, it includes provisions for recognizing Dubai Police’s contributions through media channels and issuing a “Green Certificate” for its exemplary support.
