Prince Bader & Altaf Inaugurate Automechanika Riyadh

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Automechanika Riyadh, the leading automotive trade show for the Saudi market, was officially inaugurated by H.H. Prince Bader bin Fahad bin Abdullah Al Saud and Mr. Ammar Altaf, Assistant Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Investment.

The three-day event, which runs until May 2nd at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre, has seen a massive 448% increase in exhibitors compared to the previous edition, with 340 companies from 26 countries participating across over 11,000 square meters of exhibition space.

In his keynote speech, Mr. Altaf outlined the Ministry’s role in promoting domestic and foreign investment in the Kingdom. The show features country pavilions from China, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea, and Singapore, as well as exhibitors from Germany, UK, USA, Japan, India, and Pakistan.

Saudi Arabian companies make up over 25% of the total exhibitor presence, with several first-time local participants. The UAE and Qatar also have a significant presence.

“With over 8,000 visitors expected, Automechanika Riyadh stands as the leading exhibition for Saudi’s automotive aftermarket,” said Bilal Al Barmawi, CEO of 1st Arabia Trade Shows & Conferences.

The Automechanika Riyadh Academy runs alongside the exhibition, featuring presentations and panel discussions on themes like “Accelerating KSA’s Mobility” and “Way Forward – KSA’s Automotive Aftermarket.”

Exhibitor categories include Parts & Components, Electronics & Systems, Accessories, Tyres & Batteries, Car Wash & Care, Oils & Lubricants, Diagnostics & Repair, and Body Paint.

“The next three days promise to be a catalyst for the future of the automotive aftermarket regionally and globally,” said Aly Hefny, Show Manager from Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
