Dubai, UAE – As part of the International Workers’ Day celebrations, the General Department of Human Rights at Dubai Police organized a special event to honor the riders from the ‘Talabat’ delivery company for their dedicated service to the community.
The event was attended by Brigadier Abdul Rahman Al Shaer, Deputy Director of the General Department of Human Rights, Colonel Saeed Al Heli, Acting Director of the Human Trafficking Crimes Monitoring Centre, and Major Hamad Al Shamsi, Head of the Workers’ Rights Section in the General Department of Human Rights, along with several other Dubai Police officials and employees of ‘Talabat’.
The celebration included a variety of activities such as entertainment and sports competitions, informative lectures on legal, criminal, and traffic rights, and an introduction to Dubai Police’s smart services. The lectures also stressed the importance of adhering to safety guidelines and precautions during rainy weather conditions. As a token of appreciation, valuable prizes were presented to the ‘Talabat’ riders.
Brigadier Abdul Rahman Al Shaer expressed that the event is in line with Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to participate in global occasions that enhance happiness levels and the quality of life. He emphasized that the celebration of ‘Talabat’ riders is a testament to their invaluable role, contributions, and dedicated efforts in serving the community.
He further highlighted that the General Department of Human Rights at Dubai Police consistently celebrates International Workers’ Day as part of its annual community initiatives. The focus is on honoring workers and recognizing their pivotal role as essential contributors to the production process and partners in the development of Dubai and the UAE.
