Dubai, UAE – Sheikh AbdulAziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD), inaugurated the highly anticipated “Ajman Events Calendar” for the year 2024 during his visit to the Ajman platform at the Arabian Travel Market, hosted from May 6 to 9, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Ajman Events Calendar introduces a comprehensive array of cultural festivals, artistic exhibitions, sports competitions, and entertainment options, catering to diverse demographics and further solidifying Ajman’s appeal as a premier destination for both tourists and locals.

In his address at the Ajman platform, Sheikh AbdulAziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi expressed his delight at the exhibition’s participation, underscoring Ajman’s commitment to fostering and expanding tourism-related events and activities. He emphasized the pivotal role these initiatives play in elevating service standards to international levels, aligning with the remarkable advancements witnessed across various sectors in Ajman, particularly in services.

His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, emphasized the importance of promoting diversity in events and activities to bolster tourism in Ajman. Alhashmi highlighted the rich tapestry of arts, culture, sports, entertainment, and adventure that characterizes Ajman, aligning with the vision of Ajman 2030 as a dynamic and comprehensive destination.

Key highlights of the Ajman Events Calendar include the year-round Ajman Motor Festival, featuring the latest automotive innovations, and an eclectic mix of events such as the Ajman Running Race, Electronic Games Championship, Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival, Folklore Strings Festival, Poetic Evening “Bawh Al Qawafi,” Ajman Food Festival, and more.

Moreover, the calendar showcases Ajman’s dedication to sports and healthy living through athletic challenges like cycling, duathlon, triathlon races, and the Ajman Half Marathon, aiming to promote physical activity and well-being among residents and visitors alike. The year culminates with a grand New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display, offering a spectacular way to usher in 2025.

Beyond events, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development spotlights various enticing activities including luxurious shopping experiences and retail adventures. Notable mentions include the Masfout Trails, offering hiking opportunities amidst rugged landscapes, and Tarfih Karting, providing an exhilarating indoor electric go-karting adventure.

Ajman’s rich cultural and historical heritage is also highlighted through significant tourist destinations such as the Ajman Museum, Masfout Museum, and the House of Rashed Alkhadar. The recently inaugurated Heritage Trail further embodies Ajman’s vibrant historical identity.

During the Arabian Travel Market 2024, the Ajman platform showcases its profound artistic legacy and cultural customs, featuring skilled craftswomen displaying intricate creations like Tali and Khous, as well as a calligraphy expert crafting customized pieces on medkhans, offering attendees unique insights into Ajman’s creative talent and cultural heritage.

With the launch of the Ajman Events Calendar and a plethora of immersive experiences, Ajman continues to position itself as a leading tourist destination, promising unforgettable memories and enriching encounters for all who visit.
