Dubai, UAE – In a concerted effort to advance proactive digital transformation, Dubai Police, in collaboration with “du,” a subsidiary of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, organized a series of six strategic workshops. The initiative aimed to share expertise, foster collaboration, and provide joint training to enhance readiness and anticipate the digital future.
The workshops were attended by senior officers, specialists, and experts across various domains, including digital services, digital transformation, services and infrastructure, cybersecurity, customer happiness, AI, training, and human resources management.
Digital Cooperation
Brigadier Dr. Saleh Al Hamrani, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering at Dubai Police, emphasized the alignment of these workshops with the directives of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police. Al Hamrani stated, “The aim is to enhance mutual cooperation with strategic partners across crucial sectors, especially those experiencing significant global growth, such as the digital sector.”
He highlighted Dubai Police’s commitment to proactive collaboration with strategic partners to implement smart and digital services, AI technology, and advanced techniques. “This cooperation includes exchanging expertise and experiences and conducting joint training to enhance the security system and provide high-quality services that ensure customer satisfaction,” he added.
Al Hamrani noted that the workshops align with the UAE’s Digital Government Strategy 2025, aiming to integrate digital aspects into all government strategies, and Dubai’s digital strategy, which focuses on digitizing life in Dubai and developing a robust digital economy.
Partnership with du
Ahmad Burhaima, Executive Director of Government Relations at du, highlighted the strategic importance of these workshops in fostering digital transformation. He emphasized du’s commitment to collaboration and expertise sharing with government institutions to enhance efforts towards digital transformation. “The workshops provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas and enhance achievements in digital transformation,” Burhaima stated.
He reaffirmed du’s dedication to providing smart solutions and advanced technologies to enhance security systems and offer superior customer services. Burhaima expressed appreciation for the partnership with Dubai Police and confirmed the continuation of fruitful cooperation to achieve shared goals in serving the community and promoting innovation aligned with the UAE’s national vision.
Workshop Themes
The six workshops covered key themes in digital transformation:
Logistics Support: Addressed equipment, supplies, procurement management, facilities, supplier operation quality, and asset and facility management.
Artificial Intelligence: Discussed digital services and operations, AI applications, analysis and prediction centres, data centres, network management, databases, and technical support.
Joint Training: Focused on leadership qualification, designing and developing training programs, smart and virtual training, training program evaluation, and training centres.
Customer Service: Explored service development, call centres, customer relations, and customer complaints.
Information Security: Included discussions on information security governance, information security risks, and cybersecurity.
Human Resources and Innovation: Covered knowledge management, innovation labs, research and development, and idea management.
