Dubai, UAE – Acting on the directives of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, the General Department of Criminal Investigation has launched the ‘Residential Communities Security Project Charter.’ This initiative, in collaboration with real estate developers, aligns with Dubai’s strategic vision to become the safest city in the world.
The signing ceremony took place at the Dubai Police Officers Club and featured key figures, including Expert Major General Khalil Al Mansouri, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police; Dr. Jumaa Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Silicon Oasis; Aqil Jaffar Ali, Senior Vice President of DAMAC Properties; Hazza Zaal of Al Barari Real Estate Company; and Abdul Salam Al Marzouqi, Director of the Community Affairs Department at Al Habtoor Group. The event was attended by senior officers and officials.
Real estate representatives praised the initiative, emphasizing that it strengthens the strategic partnership between Dubai Police and developers in enhancing safety and security across residential communities. They highlighted that the charter aligns with the government’s directives to foster specialized collaborative initiatives between the public and private sectors. Such partnerships are deemed crucial as Dubai continues to attract investors and residents to its thriving, advanced environment.
Expert Major General Khalil Al Mansouri underscored the charter’s reflection of Dubai Police’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with real estate developers. He remarked, “As strategic partners, they play a crucial role in the safety and security system at the emirate level, which has a global reputation as a destination of choice for business leaders and investors.”
Maj. Gen. Al Mansouri further emphasized that the charter aims to realize Dubai Police’s strategic objective of making Dubai the world’s safest city by engaging with all strategic partners across diverse sectors, including residential community development.
Brigadier Harb Al Shamsi, Acting Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, outlined the charter’s objectives: promoting security awareness among workers in residential communities, enabling the early detection of negative phenomena, and involving community policing within these communities. He commended the joint efforts between Dubai Police and real estate developers in developing mechanisms to secure homes and create safe residential communities.
This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing the safety and security of residential areas in Dubai, reinforcing the emirate’s commitment to providing a secure environment for its residents and investors.
