Dubai Police Celebrate Eid Al-Adha with Workers

Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Police organised a series of events in the Nuzul Labour Accommodation area of Jebel Ali to celebrate Eid Al-Adha, bringing together 6000 workers under the theme “Celebrating Eid Together.” The festivities, coordinated by the Positive Spirit Council, Jebel Ali Police Station, the Council of Police Station Directors, and the Event Security Committee in Dubai, featured a variety of activities and sports tournaments, including cricket and tug of war. The celebration also included educational lectures on workers’ rights, traffic safety procedures, and emergency contact services (999 for emergencies and 901 for non-emergencies).

Highlighting the occasion were displays of luxury police patrols and performances by the police band, which entertained the crowd and showcased the Dubai Police’s commitment to community engagement.

Brigadier Muhammad Abdullah Al Marri, Deputy Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, emphasized the importance of such events in supporting Dubai Police’s awareness and community efforts. “The diverse activities during the Eid holiday for workers enhance communication between the public and Dubai Police,” he stated. Brigadier Al Marri elaborated that the event’s sports segments, cultural and awareness competitions, and lectures aimed to introduce the various services offered by Dubai Police. He noted that these services are accessible through the smart app and the Smart Police Station (SPS), making it easier for individuals to interact with the police.

Fatima Buhujair, Head of the Positive Spirit Council, highlighted the initiative’s role in contributing to Dubai Police’s strategic goal of enhancing security and community communication with all segments of society. She underscored the police’s efforts in promoting tolerance, coexistence, dialogue, and respect for others, expressing her gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success.

At the event’s conclusion, Brigadier Al Marri honoured the competition winners and thanked the volunteers and participants who played a part in making the celebration a success.

The Eid Al-Adha events in Jebel Ali underscore Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to fostering a sense of community and enhancing public awareness and safety.
