Dubai, UAE – Taiwan has launched an ambitious new initiative called “Go Green with Taiwan” to showcase its commitment to green sustainability and invite global collaboration. The campaign was officially inaugurated on June 20th by key Taiwanese organizations and industry leaders.
At a press conference held at Taipei 101, the world’s tallest green building, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), International Trade Administration (ITA), and representatives from green energy companies unveiled this global proposal campaign.
The initiative invites international participants to submit proposals that incorporate Taiwanese sustainable green products and solutions. The goal is to promote Taiwan’s green industry capabilities while fostering cooperation for global sustainable development.
“Taiwan’s industries have proven resilient and innovative across different eras, positioning the island as a critical democratic supply chain hub,” stated TAITRA Chairman James Huang. “This campaign offers a gateway for partners to understand Taiwan’s sustainability path.”
ITA Director General Cynthia Kiang highlighted Taiwan’s strengths, including advanced green technology, robust R&D environment, and skilled talent pool, making it an ideal partner for the global green energy transition.
Serving as Honorary Ambassador is Acer Group’s founder Stan Shih, epitomizing Taiwan’s innovative prowess in the green tech sector. The campaign aims to align local enterprises with global sustainability standards.
The immersive press event itself embodied sustainability principles through paperless check-ins, minimized decorations and waste, eco-friendly tableware, and fair trade beverages.
With top three proposals to receive $20,000 cash prizes each, the “Go Green with Taiwan” campaign positions the island as a leader driving environmental solutions and economic sustainability worldwide.
