Bengaluru, India – History was made at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, under the visionary leadership of Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, as Akshar Yoga Kendraa successfully set five new Guinness World Records by holding five distinct yogasanas. The event aimed to establish seven records, with five confirmed and two under review.

This achievement coincides with the 10th edition of International Yoga Day, a global celebration aimed at raising awareness about the numerous benefits of yoga. Yoga, an ancient practice rooted in India, has long been a symbol of health and spiritual wellness. International Yoga Day promotes the practice worldwide, highlighting its universal appeal and ability to bridge cultural and geographical divides.

Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, the driving force behind this historic event, emphasized yoga’s role in uniting the body, mind, and spirit. “Yoga is an integral part of the body, mind, and spirit. It unites these elements and serves as a precious gift for humanity. This remarkable event is truly a blessing for people, inspiring them to embrace the practice of yoga. Akshar Yoga Kendraa, dedicated to fostering physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual growth, regularly organizes fitness camps, mudra workshops, and meditation sessions. These activities showcase yoga’s diverse benefits and encourage its daily practice.

The successful record attempts were confirmed by Senior Adjudicators of Guinness World Records, Swapnil Dangarikar and Rishi Nath. Dangarikar remarked, “I am delighted to say that Team Akshar Yoga Kendraa has successfully set five new Guinness World Record titles. I don’t think I have given these many certificates on a single day. Congratulations to all of you. This makes you Officially Amazing.”

The event saw participation from various sectors, including members of the Indian Army, Air Force, Karnataka State Police, specially-abled children, children from orphanages, business community members, and corporate representatives. Notably, over 1200 NCC cadets from NCC Group ‘A’ Bangalore participated, supported by the Dy DG, NCC Directorate Karnataka & Goa, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ ‘A’ Bengaluru, Commanding Officers, Associate NCC Officers, and Permanent Instructors of Group ‘A’ NCC Battalions.

This landmark event not only celebrated International Yoga Day but also demonstrated the transformative power of yoga, reinforcing its significance in promoting holistic health and spiritual well-being on a global scale.
