Tron Energy and MAP-Tron-E Sign MoU for Taiwanese Electric Bus Manufacturing in UAE

Dubai, UAE – In a significant stride towards sustainable transportation in the MENA region, Tron Energy Technology Corporation and MAP-Tron-E have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a joint venture focused on developing and manufacturing electric vehicle (EV) buses. The MoU, signed at a formal event on July 16, 2024, by Richard Huang, CEO of Tron Energy Technology Corporation, and Akshay Aggarwal, Director of MAP-Tron-E, marks a pivotal milestone in the UAE’s sustainability and carbon reduction efforts.

The partnership aims to introduce advanced EV bus technology to the UAE, aligning with the nation’s environmental sustainability goals. The joint venture will not only manufacture electric buses but also develop sustainable charging infrastructure, facilitating quicker adoption and easier use of EV buses. This initiative is expected to transform the regional transportation sector, promoting eco-friendly and efficient transit solutions.

Richard Huang, CEO of Tron Energy Technology Corporation, expressed his gratitude to the UAE’s visionary leaders, stating, “We would like to start by expressing our deepest gratitude to the visionary leaders of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Akshay Aggarwal, Director of MAP-Tron-E, announced the board of directors for the joint venture, welcoming Anil Aggarwal, Amit Kumar Garg, Prabhakaran S., Pankaj Kaul, Chintan Sareen, and Sunil Mohan Solanki.

The project is slated to begin ground testing with buses in the UAE by the end of Q3 2024, with manufacturing commencing in Q1 2025. The initial phases will involve rigorous testing to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency for the electric buses. Upon approval, the venture will proceed with full-scale manufacturing and distribution across the MENA region.

This collaboration between Tron Energy Technology Corporation and MAP-Tron-E highlights a shared vision to drive innovation and sustainability in the transportation industry, setting a precedent for future initiatives in the region.
