Dubai, UAE – The Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC) has announced a significant step towards enhancing energy management in the Arab region by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RECREE). This collaboration will introduce the Pan Arab Certified Energy Management Professionals (PA-CEMP) course to the region, marking the first time such a program has been available.

Endorsed by the Executive Bureau of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity during their 32nd session on May 31, 2016, the PA-CEMP certification is designed for managers, engineers, and technicians working in the energy field. This professional certification aims to assist Energy Efficiency policy makers and program administrators in planning and implementing effective energy efficiency programs across the Arab region.

Participants in the PA-CEMP course will gain knowledge of the latest technologies and strategies to reduce energy consumption cost-effectively, aligning with the Arab EE Guideline. Khaled Bushnaq, Chairman of EmiratesGBC, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Emirates Green Building Council has been working tirelessly alongside our partners to help build a sustainable future for all. It is for the first time that the PA-CEMP certification course has been introduced to the UAE in collaboration with RECREE to equip the Pan Arab region to handle the energy crisis at hand and ensure a brighter, better future for all.”
