Ajman, UAE – Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently engaged in a strategic discussion with Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral trade and mutual investment. The focus areas of the discussion included the manufacturing industry, agricultural products, and renewable energy sectors.
The meeting also saw the presence of key officials such as Ali Rashid Al Kaitoob, Executive Director of the Studies and Investment Development Sector at the Ajman Chamber, and Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor at the Consulate of Pakistan. Al Suwaidi underscored the significance of the meeting, highlighting its role in establishing a direct communication channel to foster joint cooperation between Ajman and Pakistan.
Al Suwaidi pointed out that in 2023, a total of 4,194 Pakistani businessmen became members of the Ajman Chamber, primarily engaging in sectors such as retail, construction, manufacturing, and hospitality. This growing membership underscores the robust economic ties between the two regions.
Hussain Muhammad identified key sectors in Pakistan, including textiles, clothing, and agriculture, and stressed the critical role of exhibitions in enhancing trade relations. He extended an invitation to the Ajman Chamber to participate in the upcoming textile and clothing expo in Karachi this October. The expo, he noted, serves as a global platform for showcasing innovations and fostering cooperation between companies from both countries.
This meeting marks a significant step towards bolstering economic collaboration and exploring new opportunities for mutual growth and development in various sectors.
