Dubai, UAE – The Ice Warrior Challenge, organized by Dubai Sports Council and Majid Al-Futtaim, is set to kick off on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 6:00 AM at the renowned Ski Dubai Hall in the Mall of the Emirates, recently crowned as the best indoor ski resort in the world.

This year’s edition of the Ice Obstacle Challenge has seen a remarkable surge in the number of participants, including both male and female athletes from a variety of ages and nationalities. Among the competitors are a significant number of Emirati athletes, representing a range of physical and skill levels. Over the past few weeks, many of these athletes have been training rigorously in snowy conditions, preparing to test their physical endurance, build teamwork, and enjoy the unique experience of competing in one of Dubai’s premier tourist attractions.

The Ice Warrior Challenge features three categories of competition: the Elite Category, where men and women aim to complete the course in under 25 minutes; the Individual Category, open to all fitness levels; and the Teams Category, where groups of five work together to complete the course in the shortest possible time, fostering cooperation and camaraderie.

The competition will begin at 6:30 AM, with participants starting in waves. Each contestant must display their race number on the front of their shirt and secure a timing chip to their foot, ensuring they are ready for the challenge 15 minutes before their designated start time. All finishers will be awarded unique medals and commemorative Ice Challenge shirts.

The event is expected to draw a diverse group of participants from all walks of life, offering an exhilarating opportunity to test physical limits, build team spirit, and enjoy the snowy excitement at one of Dubai’s most iconic destinations.
