Dubai, UAE – Ski Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, has successfully concluded the 15th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge, marking a historic participation of 626 athletes from 68 nationalities, including 263 Emiratis. The event featured over 20 challenging obstacles, testing both mental and physical endurance in sub-zero temperatures.
Elite Fitness Category Winners
Hallvard Borsheim clinched the top spot in the Elite Fitness Male category with an impressive finish time of 00:29:07. He was closely followed by Yeison Londono Franco and Marc Al Onso, who completed the race in 00:36:55 and 00:37:19 respectively. In the Elite Fitness Female category, Tetiana Maltseva emerged victorious, finishing at 00:37:16. Olga Naumova and Paulina Bascaro secured the second and third positions with finish times of 00:40:17 and 00:45:02.
Regular Category Winners
Mikhail Rudik and Luz Barrios triumphed as the overall winners in the Regular category for men and women, with times of 00:20:34 and 00:24:39 respectively. Mohamed Moulay and Nigina Lolakova followed, finishing at 00:21:44 and 00:27:54. Jad Hamdan and Leena Reda rounded out the top three with times of 00:22:33 and 00:28:44.
Team Category Winners
In the Team category, Kebab Glorious emerged as the overall winners, completing the challenge in 00:36:32. The Ski Turtles took second place with a close finish time of 00:36:33, while Gambiteers secured third place, finishing at 00:41:34.
The event was graced by several notable figures, including His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, Nasser Al Rahma, Assistant Secretary-General, Ali Omar Al Balooshi, Director of Sports Events, Ibrahim Khadim, Member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Winter Sports Federation, Ignace Lahoud, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, and Mohammad El Etri, Managing Director of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment. They presented the winners with trophies and prizes, while all participants received commemorative medals and souvenir T-shirts upon crossing the finish line.
