Dubai, UAE – Arabian Warrior, the new global Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) brand based in the Middle East, has announced an exciting competition inviting participants to design an obstacle for their upcoming event in Dubai. The contest offers a host of prizes, including VIP entry to the race for the winner and a guest.

With Arabian Warrior’s debut season set to kick off next month, the first event will be held on October 26th at Dubai Islands, in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council. The race is part of a broader regional expansion, with additional events already confirmed for Riyadh, Jeddah, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah.

To enter the obstacle design competition, participants must submit a creative and innovative obstacle that can be realistically built, considering key factors such as weight distribution, participant capacity, complexity, and difficulty level. Designs can be hand-drawn or created using digital tools, but originality is a must, as copying existing OCR obstacles will result in disqualification.

The competition is open to all, with a submission deadline of October 18th at 3 PM GST. The winner will receive VIP entry for themselves and a friend to compete in the Dubai event, an Arabian Warrior t-shirt and headband, and will be featured on the brand’s website and social media. Second and third place finishers will also win VIP entry and merchandise, with their designs showcased on Arabian Warrior’s platforms.

This competition will precede each Arabian Warrior event throughout the 2024/25 season, giving participants multiple opportunities to submit designs and potentially win the overall season title.

The Dubai event, slated for October 26th, will feature multiple race categories ranging from 5km to 50km, accommodating participants of all ages and fitness levels. The elite races will offer podium finishes and cash prizes, while Age Group races will award medals. Open Heats will be timed, though no podium places will be given.
