Epson establishes a new regional operation headquartered in the UAE

Dubai, UAE – Seiko Epson Corporation (“Epson”) has launched a new regional sales entity, Epson Middle East FZCO (“Epson META-CWA”), to enhance its business operations across the Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, and Central & West Asia. Headquartered in Dubai, the new office positions Epson to meet the growing demand for advanced technology in one of the world’s fastest-growing regions for tech adoption.

Epson META-CWA will provide tailored solutions in printing, scanning, visual displays, manufacturing, and lifestyle technology, catering to a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, finance, construction, tourism, retail, and entertainment. This new structure builds on Epson’s ongoing double-digit sales growth in the region, with the company’s education portfolio seeing an impressive 100% increase from FY2022 to FY2023.

Neil Colquhoun, President of Epson META-CWA, will lead the new division, drawing on his more than a decade of experience with the company. Commenting on the expansion, Colquhoun emphasized the company’s commitment to local markets: “This expansion is not just about business growth. It’s about connecting with local needs and delivering technology that empowers businesses while building a more sustainable future.”

Sustainability is a key focus for Epson META-CWA, with initiatives already in place to help reduce environmental impact. Epson aims to become carbon-negative by 2050 and has already switched to 100% renewable electricity at all Epson-owned sites globally by the end of 2023.

Epson’s diverse workforce of over 320 team members across 80 countries will be critical to driving innovation in this new chapter. The company’s leadership team includes representatives from 11 nationalities, with women holding nearly half of the management roles, underlining Epson’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and female empowerment.

As part of its people strategy, Epson is also focused on nurturing local talent through initiatives such as the Epson Graduate Programme, ensuring continued growth and innovation across the region.

With Epson META-CWA now in place, the company is poised to deliver high-quality, sustainable technology solutions across one of the world’s most diverse and dynamic markets.
