The intense encounter took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, where a new attendance record was set, with 15,935 fans witnessing the game — the highest for a group stage match in the tournament’s history.
Pakistan, after winning the toss and opting to bat, struggled to build momentum throughout their innings. Nida Dar was the top scorer for Pakistan, contributing 28 off 34 balls. However, a disciplined Indian bowling attack, led by off-spinner Shreyanka Patil (2/12) and Arundhati Reddy (3/19), restricted Pakistan to 105 for eight in their 20 overs.
