Cairo, Egypt – The 6th edition of Art Cairo, one of the region’s premier art fairs, will be held at the iconic Grand Egyptian Museum from 8-11 February 2025, with a VIP preview on 7 February.

Following the success of previous editions, Art Cairo has firmly established itself as a key event on the global art calendar, offering a platform for both established and emerging artists from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The fair is set to feature a diverse range of galleries from countries including Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Notably, this year’s edition will also see first-time participation from Morocco, Turkey, and Tunisia.

Mohamed Younis, Founder and Managing Director of Art Cairo, expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s edition: “In our 6th edition, we aim to showcase the artistic richness of the Middle East and North Africa to local, regional, and international audiences while energizing and supporting Cairo’s dynamic art ecosystem. Set against the unique historical and cultural backdrop of the Grand Egyptian Museum, Art Cairo serves not only as a platform for artists but also as an arena for discourse on the exciting artistic ambitions of the region.”

The 2025 edition will build on the success of the fair’s ‘Hiwar’ (Dialogue) Talks Programme, which in 2024 featured prominent participants, including Palestinian artist Sliman Mansour. This year’s programme will once again engage audiences through conversations, panels, and talks with key figures from the world of art, including artists, curators, gallerists, and thought leaders.

Art Cairo is also renowned for attracting an array of distinguished VIPs. Last year’s edition welcomed Ahmed Aboul Gheit, former Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary-General of the Arab League, among others. Alongside the opening of the fair, VIP guests, collectors, and gallerists will have the opportunity to participate in exclusive programmes that highlight Cairo’s rich cultural heritage, including a collector-hosted dinner featuring an exceptional private art collection.

With its impressive lineup of galleries and thought-provoking events, Art Cairo 2025 promises to be a cultural highlight, offering a unique opportunity to experience the artistic vibrancy of the MENA region.
