Kazakhstan to Host Games of the Future 2026

Dubai: Phygital International has officially announced that Kazakhstan will be the host for the Games of the Future 2026, following a competitive bidding process that attracted submissions from countries worldwide. This prestigious tournament is recognized as the pinnacle event in the phygital sporting realm, succeeding the UAE, which will host the Games in 2025.

Kazakhstan emerged as the top contender, impressing the Phygital International Expert Committee with its strong track record in hosting international tournaments and state-of-the-art sports venues. The country’s blend of rich cultural heritage, innovative technology, and commitment to sports were key factors in its selection.

The Games of the Future is a groundbreaking international event that showcases the next generation of dynamic athletes from around the globe. Phygital International anticipates that the upcoming tournaments in the UAE and Kazakhstan will attract thousands of elite athletes and esports participants, who will compete in various phygital sport challenges as part of multinational clubs.

Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International, expressed excitement about Kazakhstan taking on this prestigious role, stating, “We’re hugely excited for Kazakhstan to receive the phygital flame from next year’s host, the UAE. It’s wonderful to witness the exponential growth of phygital sports and the global community surrounding it.”

Yerbol Myrzabossynov, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, noting, “It is a privilege for our great nation of Kazakhstan to be awarded the honor of hosting the Games of the Future in 2026. Our country has supported phygital sport from its very inception, and we’re excited to continue this tradition.”

The Games of the Future is an inclusive event, welcoming participants of all ages, genders, and nationalities. Countries interested in bidding to host the tournament in 2027 have until December 31, 2024, to submit their applications.
