Doha Film Institute Invites Volunteers for the 2024 Ajyal Film Festival

Doha, Qatar: The Doha Film Institute (DFI) is calling on residents of Qatar, aged 18 and above, to volunteer for the 2024 Ajyal Film Festival, a premier cultural event in the region. The festival, scheduled to take place from November 16 to 23, 2024, offers a unique opportunity for individuals to contribute to the festival’s success while engaging with a diverse community of film enthusiasts. Registration for volunteers opens on October 14, 2024, through the DFI website.

Fatma Hassan Al Remaihi, CEO of the Doha Film Institute and Director of the Ajyal Film Festival, emphasized the crucial role volunteers play in the event’s success, saying, “Volunteers are at the heart of Ajyal Film Festival, playing a pivotal role in creating a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere. Their passion, dedication, and hard work are what make Ajyal such a special experience for everyone.”

The volunteer program provides residents with the chance to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the festival, including venue operations, guest services, transportation, and registration. Volunteers will also receive a certificate of appreciation for their efforts.

The Ajyal Film Festival is a significant event in Qatar’s cultural calendar, bringing together films from across the globe to promote empathy, understanding, and the uniting power of cinema. The 2024 edition will feature global films, the popular “Made in Qatar” program, and a multimedia exhibition. More details about the festival will be announced soon.
