Dubai, UAE – The Sahgal Delhi Demons continued their impressive run in the Pro Cricket League, securing their fourth consecutive victory with a convincing 7-wicket win over the Noida Eagles at Dubai. The result further strengthens the Demons’ hold on second place in the league standings, while the Eagles remain winless this season.

After winning the toss and electing to field, the Demons faced a sturdy challenge as the Eagles posted a formidable 194/6 in their allotted 20 overs. The Eagles’ innings was built on several substantial contributions, beginning with opener Alok Ranjan’s explosive 52 off 34 balls. The momentum was maintained by captain Kuldeep Hudda, who smashed five sixes in his quickfire 47 off 21 deliveries, while Rahul Chaudhary provided a late surge with an unbeaten 34.

However, the target proved insufficient against the Demons’ powerful batting lineup. Openers Abhijeet Sharma and Mohammad Sultan Ansari put on a match-defining partnership of 128 runs, effectively settling the contest in the first half of the chase. Sharma was particularly destructive, hammering 80 runs off just 40 balls, including nine fours and five sixes. Ansari complemented him perfectly with a well-crafted 54 off 35 deliveries.

Despite losing captain Phil Mustard for 30 in the closing stages, the Demons cruised to victory with nine balls remaining, thanks to composed finishing from Shivam Sharma and Dinesh Kumar.

“The opening partnership really set the tone for us,” said a Demons team spokesperson after the match. “Abhijeet and Sultan showed great intent from the start, and their partnership made the chase look much easier than it actually was.”

The result leaves the Eagles facing an uphill battle to salvage their season, while the Demons continue to build momentum in their campaign for the league title.

Match Summary:
Noida Eagles: 194/6 in 20 overs (Ranjan 52, Hudda 47, Chaudhary 34*)
