The result further strengthens the Demons’ hold on second place in the league standings, while the Eagles remain winless this season.
After winning the toss and electing to field, the Demons faced a sturdy challenge as the Eagles posted a formidable 194/6 in their allotted 20 overs. The Eagles’ innings was built on several substantial contributions, beginning with opener Alok Ranjan’s explosive 52 off 34 balls. The momentum was maintained by captain Kuldeep Hudda, who smashed five sixes in his quickfire 47 off 21 deliveries, while Rahul Chaudhary provided a late surge with an unbeaten 34.
However, the target proved insufficient against the Demons’ powerful batting lineup. Openers Abhijeet Sharma and Mohammad Sultan Ansari put on a match-defining partnership of 128 runs, effectively settling the contest in the first half of the chase.
