Dubai, UAE – Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, played a key role in a series of high-profile events at COP29 in Azerbaijan. Addressing critical climate-relevant topics such as Agriculture, Youth, and Water, Dr. Al Dahak underscored the UAE’s ongoing efforts to foster collaboration and inclusion, deemed essential for accelerating climate action into 2025 and looking ahead to COP30 in Brazil.

In her opening speech at the High-Level Plenary Event on Delivering on Climate Action Through Agriculture and Food Systems Transformation, Dr. Al Dahak highlighted the UAE’s leadership in leveraging agriculture and food systems to maintain a global temperature rise of 1.5 degrees. She urged nations to collaborate further, emphasizing, “As we embark on COP29 and look ahead to COP30, it is vital we continue the momentum established at COP28 and collaborate at scale. We must work hard to identify synergies between nations in terms of their food challenges and embrace opportunities to accelerate progress.”
