LEO Pharma and Emirates Dermatology Society Partner to Boost Awareness of Chronic Hand Eczema in the UAE

Dubai, UAE – LEO Pharma, a leader in medical dermatology, has partnered with the Emirates Dermatology Society (EDS) to launch Hand in hand, a campaign focused on raising awareness about Chronic Hand Eczema (CHE) in the UAE. This collaboration aims to establish CHE as a recognized condition, address unmet needs, and improve treatment access. Together, LEO Pharma and EDS are working to enhance understanding of CHE among healthcare providers, patients, and the public to ultimately improve quality of life for those affected.

Chronic Hand Eczema, affecting 4.7%* of the global population, significantly impacts patients’ daily lives, from physical pain to psychological challenges. Hand in hand highlights this often-overlooked condition, underscoring the need for specialized treatment and support.

The campaign’s objectives focus on medical education, public awareness, and treatment access. Hand In Hand empowers patients and their families with resources, aiming to foster greater empathy and support across the medical community. These efforts will enhance access to treatments.
