DSF’s Epic Opening Weekend Lights Up Dubai with Spectacular Shows, New Experiences, and Mega Prizes

The monumental 30th anniversary edition of DSF has officially begun, marking the city’s greatest, most memorable and out-of-this-world celebration ever

Dubai, UAE – The 30th edition of the iconic Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) launched this weekend, setting a new benchmark for citywide celebrations with an exhilarating mix of world-class entertainment, adventurous activities, and unforgettable experiences. Running until 12 January 2025, this year’s DSF promises to be the most extraordinary in the festival’s history, with a non-stop calendar of events spanning every corner of Dubai.

The grand opening featured the highly anticipated 321 Festival at Coca-Cola Arena and City Walk, showcasing a star-studded lineup including Arabic musical legends Georges Wassouf and Kadim Al Sahir. The excitement continued with Coke Studio Live, presenting top South Asian music, and City Walk’s carnival-themed activities and performances.

Spectacular fireworks displays lit up Dubai Festival City Mall nightly, courtesy of Al Zarooni Group, while Hatta hosted weekend fireworks. Additionally, twice-daily drone shows at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR, featured 1,000 drones in the longest show in DSF history, painting the sky with vibrant images.

Dubai’s transformation into a luminous wonderland was marked by the Dubai Lights installations across the city, celebrating the elements of Energy, Water, Air, Fire, and Connection. Key locations include Bluewaters Island, Palm Nakheel Mall, and Dubai Design District.

The launch of DSF Nights at Dubai Festival City Mall, presented by talabat, brought daily family-friendly entertainment, with performances by Ahmed Saad and Shamma Hamdan, and the debut of two new IMAGINE shows followed by fireworks. The festivities will continue daily, featuring Saturday night concerts and Sunday night X Factor shows until 12 December.

In partnership with Dubai TV, X Factor showcased regional talents before celebrity judges, with competitions every Sunday night until the finale on 12 December. Meanwhile, DSF x Hatta offered nature enthusiasts thrilling outdoor activities, family-friendly entertainment, and Friday and Saturday fireworks.

Shoppers enjoyed vibrant mall experiences and exclusive promotions, with highlights including the DSF Amber Millionaire and DIB Visa Millionaire promotions, offering significant prizes. The DSF Golden Tickit promotion also provided opportunities for substantial rewards.

As DSF’s opening weekend set the stage for an epic season, visitors can explore an array of world-class entertainment, unique attractions, exceptional hospitality, and stunning landscapes. The new digital DSF Map, an interactive online guide, helps navigate the festival’s endless excitement and plan a seamless DSF journey across the city.
