Dubai, UAE – Carrefour, operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE, has joined forces with Dubai-based cricket team, the Desert Vipers, to champion healthier lifestyles, sustainability, and a passion for cricket among the youth.
As part of this innovative collaboration, the Desert Vipers Schools Programme is set to engage over 12,000 students annually through GEMS Education and other educational institutions. This initiative integrates Carrefour’s “Choose Better” campaign, offering students access to nutritious food options, educational tools, and exciting rewards.
Carrefour is also extending the partnership to its shoppers, providing opportunities to win tickets to live Desert Vipers matches, exclusive merchandise, and the chance for children to enjoy pop-up cricket nets at select City Centre malls.
In line with their shared commitment to sustainability, the Desert Vipers will host a special “Sustainability Match” on January 18, as part of the ongoing ILT20 league. Carrefour will support the event by supplying 150 children in the Fan Zone with healthy snacks and juices, reinforcing the importance of mindful consumption and eco-friendly practices.
This partnership highlights Carrefour and the Desert Vipers’ dedication to nurturing the next generation, promoting healthier choices, and fostering a greener future.
