Doha, Qatar – QSindhis organized a vibrant celebration of Sindhi Cultural Day at Al Waha Club in Alkhor Community, drawing enthusiastic participation from the Sindhi and Pakistani communities. Distinguished guests included Mohammad Aamer, Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar, and officials from the Community Welfare Attaché (CWA) of the Pakistan Embassy.
The venue was adorned with antique Sindhi handicrafts and artifacts from Moen Jo Daro, celebrating the 5,000-year-old heritage of the Indus Valley Civilization. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address by Junaid Mahar, a Core Committee member of QSindhis. Mahar expressed gratitude to Mohammad Aamer and other attendees, highlighting the efforts of QSindhis’ Core and Advisory Committee members.

In his address, Mahar recounted QSindhis’ journey since 2014, noting their contributions such as COVID-19 relief, support for flood-affected areas in Pakistan, blood donation camps in Qatar, and medical and educational assistance in Sindh. A traditional Sindhi shawl (Ajrak) was presented to Mohammad Aamer by Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, along with an honorary shield from Abdul Lateef Memon, acknowledging the Ambassador’s support for the Pakistani community.

Mohammad Aamer congratulated QSindhis on organizing the culturally rich event and emphasized the importance of preserving the Sindhi language. He encouraged families, especially women, to teach their children Sindhi and suggested organizing language classes to ensure its sustainability.



The program included captivating performances by renowned artists from Sindh, such as Ali Gul Mallah, Asghar Khoso, Narodha Malnin, and Ustad Rajab Fakeer. The event was broadcast live on the Sindhi channel Electronic Diary across social media platforms.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Abdul Lateef Memon, who recognized the efforts of QSindhis’ members and their families, inviting Core and Advisory Committee members Junaid Mahar, Abdullah Soomro, Adnan Soomro, Maqsood Mangi, Aijaz Panhwar, Amjad Kandher, GM Bhanbhro, Talib Bozdar, Atif Dogar, Dr. Imtiaz, Dr. Iftikhar, Faheem Shaikh, Jam Feroz, Jam Sarfraz, Muhammad Ali Rajper, Muhammad Haneef Abro, Riaz Shaikh, Abdul Razzak Shaikh, Shahnawaz Channa, Shakeel Otho, and Waseem Shaikh on stage for recognition.

The celebration of Sindhi Cultural Day 2025 showcased QSindhis’ dedication to preserving and promoting Sindhi culture and fostering unity within the community in Qatar.
