Dubai: Dubai witnessed a powerful collaboration for climate action as Extreme Hangout Dubai, in partnership with Earth Warriors and the Pakistan Youth Forum, hosted a dynamic event at the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD). The gathering brought together climate advocates, change-makers, and community members to emphasize the urgency of addressing climate change and to showcase sustainable solutions.

The event commenced with a symbolic tree-plantation ceremony led by Hussain Muhammad, Consul General, and Dr. Faisal Ikram, President of PAD. Addressing the audience, Hussain Muhammad highlighted Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate change despite its minimal contribution to global emissions. “Pakistan ranks among the ten most vulnerable countries to climate change despite contributing less than 1% to global greenhouse gas emissions. The devastating floods of 2022 are a testament to the challenges we face. Pakistan remains committed to being part of the solution. However, global solidarity, climate finance, and technology transfer are essential to tackling this crisis,” he emphasized.

The event featured a variety of activities, including:
- Entrepreneurial Stalls displaying innovative eco-friendly solutions.
- Keynote Speeches and Panel Discussions by experts, activists, and youth leaders who shared strategies for effective climate action and stressed the importance of collective efforts.
- Artistic Presentations and Performances showcasing the beauty of nature and the importance of its preservation for future generations.
The critical role of youth in driving climate action took center stage during the discussions. The Consul General urged the Pakistani community in the UAE to act as global ambassadors, leveraging storytelling, social media, and community engagement to raise awareness about Pakistan’s climate challenges.

The event underscored the power of collective action at both local and global levels in addressing environmental issues. It concluded with a unified call for global solidarity and immediate action to ensure a sustainable future for all.
This gathering demonstrated that meaningful collaboration between governments, communities, and individuals is essential to combat the climate crisis effectively.
