Dubai, UAE – The 6th edition of the “Labor Sports Tournament,” the largest event of its kind in Dubai, witnessed thrilling victories in the volleyball competition, with Ajmal Perfumes securing the men’s title and E.F.S. Team claiming the women’s crown. Organized by the Dubai Sports Council in collaboration with the Permanent Committee of Labor Affairs in Dubai, Dubai Police, and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security, the tournament is being held under the theme “Their Happiness is Our Goal.” The event, which began earlier this month, will continue until February 23, 2025, featuring 46,000 male and female laborers from 270 companies competing across 12 sports at 10 venues in Dubai.
Volleyball Competitions
The men’s volleyball final, held at the Dulsco Arena Pitches in Al-Quoz, saw Ajmal Perfumes emerge victorious. The Yun Co. Team secured second place, followed by Emrill Team in third and Brekely Team in fourth. Milan Chand Thakuri of Ajmal Perfumes was honored as the best player in the men’s category.

In the women’s category, E.F.S. Team claimed the top spot, with Brekely Team finishing second, ENOC in third, and James Facilities Team in fourth. Laila Nakai of E.F.S. was named the best player in the women’s competition.

Swimming Competitions
The swimming events took place at the Drydocks World Swimming Pool, with participants competing in 50 M, 100 M, and 200 M categories.
- 50 M Category: Fadl Al-Haq of Drydocks World clinched first place with a time of 37.90 seconds, followed by Rajesh Gopi of Al-Tayer Co. (41.63 seconds) and Shabir Khan of Emrill (47.39 seconds).
- 100 M Category: Gobind Karki of Ejada Co. won first place with a time of 1:16.18 minutes, ahead of Nelbert Laga of Drydocks World (1:20.96 minutes) and Gethin Anthony of Emrill (1:37.57 minutes).
- 200 M Category: Khalid Ali of Ejada Co. secured first place with a time of 03:08.11 minutes, followed by his colleague Kelvin Eshun (03:46.43 minutes) and Rana Ahmed of Berkeley (04:34.04 minutes).
Cricket Competition
The cricket matches, held at the Grass Residence Pitches in Jebel Ali, saw ENOC Team claim the top spot with 50 points. Stars Residence finished second with 49 points, while W 1 and Emrill secured third and fourth places, respectively.

Individual accolades were awarded to Motiullah of Stars Residence (best shooter), Suhail of ENOC (best field player), Faizan of W 1 (best striker), Muzammil Uddinor of Emrill (best wicketkeeper), and Azhar of ENOC (best player).
Throw Ball Competition
The throw ball events were held at Al-Gharhoud, with Coastal Friends winning the men’s category. ACME Team, Concans Dubai Co Team, and Konkani Cultural Foundation Team secured second, third, and fourth places, respectively. Joeson D’Souza of Coastal Friends was named the best player in the men’s category.

In the women’s category, Konkani Cultural Foundation took first place, followed by Coastal Friends, ACME Team, and Ponts Dubai. Suman Gala Bhatt from K-Ku was awarded the best player title.

The 6th Labor Sports Tournament continues to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among Dubai’s labor community, reinforcing the city’s commitment to the well-being and happiness of its workforce.
