Dubai: Aster Volunteers, the global corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Aster DM Healthcare, has launched two new Mobile Medical Service units to provide essential healthcare services to underserved villages in Sankari (Surat) and Khedbrahma (Sabarkantha) districts of Gujarat. The initiative aims to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility by delivering critical medical services directly to marginalized communities.
The launch event was graced by Shri Rushikesh Patel, Honorable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, and Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Minister of Home, Police Housing & Disaster Management, Government of Gujarat. The ceremony was also attended by Pujya Swami Brahmaviharidas, Head of BAPS Global Outreach and BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi; Pujya Swami Nikhileshdas, Head of BAPS Medical Activities; and Mr. Jaleel PA, Head of CSR at Aster DM Healthcare.
State-of-the-Art Mobile Medical Units
The newly launched mobile units are equipped with advanced facilities, including a patient waiting area, registration desk, vital data collection desk, a basic mini-lab with refrigerated storage, safe medicine storage and dispensing facilities, a consultation room for general practitioners, and health education and awareness programs. Additionally, the units feature expandable awnings for outdoor shade, air conditioning, infection control mechanisms, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Designed to navigate remote village roads, these units will ensure that healthcare reaches the most disadvantaged communities.

Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services (AVMMS): A Lifeline for Millions
AVMMS is a unique CSR initiative by Aster DM Healthcare, aimed at providing free medical camps and disaster aid support to communities in remote areas with limited or no access to healthcare facilities. Since its inception, the program has treated over 1.4 million individuals across India, the Middle East, and Africa. With a global network of over 50 units, AVMMS operates in states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, and Jammu & Kashmir.
