Abu Dhabi, 01 March 2025: Erth Abu Dhabi is gearing up to host the prestigious Zayed Sports Tournament 2025 Juniors, a landmark event dedicated to promoting unity, excellence, and youth athleticism during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Organized in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the tournament will run from March 2 to March 16, 2025, showcasing the UAE’s most talented young athletes.
The tournament, a cornerstone of the UAE’s sporting calendar, pays tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose vision emphasized the unifying power of sports. Since its inception in 1997, the event has attracted 42,453 athletes, 69,620 visitors, and 716 teams, with total prizes worth AED 28,945,700 awarded over the years.

This year’s edition will feature thrilling competitions across six disciplines: football (Under 10 and Under 12), jiu-jitsu, chess, gymnastics, and swimming. A total prize pool of AED 104,600 will be up for grabs, including AED 15,000 each for Football U10 and U12, AED 18,000 for Swimming, AED 20,000 for Chess, AED 28,200 for Jiu-Jitsu, and AED 8,400 for Gymnastics. Additionally, special prizes of AED 12,000 for the Best Gym and AED 3,000 for the Best Coach in Jiu-Jitsu will be awarded. All winners will receive trophies, while every participant will be given a tournament pack, including a t-shirt and a participation medal.

Lieutenant General (Rtd) Mohamed Helal Alkaabi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Zayed Sports Tournament at Erth Abu Dhabi, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “This tournament is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of teamwork, dedication, and the values Sheikh Zayed stood for.
