Real Madrid Clinches Second Consecutive U-13 Dubai Intercontinental Football Cup Title

Dubai, UAE – Real Madrid’s U-13 team from Spain has secured its second successive title at the U-13 Dubai Intercontinental Football Cup, a prestigious youth football tournament held with the support of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC). The event, which saw the participation of over 400 players from 24 teams across the globe, concluded with an exciting final where Real Madrid triumphed over Celta Vigo with a 2-1 victory to claim the golden cup.

The championship, organized to attract and nurture young football talents, featured teams from renowned international clubs and academies, including AC Milan (Italy), Chelsea (England), Bayern Munich (Germany), and CSKA (Russia), alongside local Emirati teams such as Al-Nasr, Al-Wahda, and Fursan Hispania. The tournament showcased the skills of young players, providing them with a platform to compete against some of the best youth teams in the world.

The winners were honored in a ceremony attended by prominent figures in the sports community, including Khalfan Belhoul, Deputy Chairman of DSC, Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of DSC, and Michel Salgado, former Real Madrid and Spanish national team star. Also present were Naser Aman Al-Rahma, Assistant Secretary General of DSC, and Mr. Daniel Petrovs, CEO of ISD Co. in Dubai Sports City.

In addition to the team accolades, individual awards were presented to standout performers. Pablo Garcia of Real Madrid was named the Best Player of the Championship, while his teammate Guillermo Collado earned the title of Highest Scorer. Iker Loredo of Celta Vigo was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper.

The silver cup went to Rodina, who surpassed Chelsea in their match, while Fursan Hispania claimed the bronze cup after defeating Al-Wahda. The tournament not only highlighted the competitive spirit of the young athletes but also underscored the importance of grassroots development in football.

The U-13 Dubai Intercontinental Football Cup is a testament to the collaborative efforts between the Dubai Sports Council and private corporations to elevate the sports sector.
