Dubai, UAE – Hotpack Global, the UAE’s foremost provider of sustainable packaging solutions, has unveiled a landmark 2.2 MW rooftop solar power system at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in National Industries Park (NIP), Dubai. This ambitious project, one of the largest solar installations in the NIP industrial zone, underscores the company’s drive to lead the green revolution in packaging while supporting the UAE’s clean energy transition.

The solar array is projected to generate 3.52 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable energy annually, offsetting 2,992 metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year—equivalent to planting over 142,476 trees. By reducing reliance on conventional power, the initiative propels Hotpack closer to its goal of becoming a carbon-neutral enterprise.

Leadership Insights
Abdul Jebbar PB, CEO & Managing Director of Hotpack Global, emphasized the strategic importance of sustainability: “This solar project is a cornerstone of our vision to harmonize business growth with environmental stewardship. Aligning with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 agenda, we are committed to pioneering solutions that benefit both industry and the planet.”

Zainudeen PB, Chief Operating Officer, highlighted operational benefits: “Solar energy enhances our energy independence and efficiency, ensuring we deliver eco-friendly packaging without compromising quality.” Meanwhile, Anvar PB, Chief Technology Officer, noted the project’s technological significance: “This milestone reflects our ethos of merging innovation with sustainability—a blueprint for green manufacturing.”

Beyond Solar: A Holistic Green Agenda
Hotpack’s sustainability efforts extend beyond solar. The company’s circular supply chain incorporates post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, while its proprietary H-rPET technology transforms recycled PET into lightweight, recyclable packaging. Collaborative initiatives like the Eco Loop recycling program with RECAPP by Veolia further amplify waste reduction across facilities.

Driving a Greener Future
As Hotpack continues to invest in renewable energy and cutting-edge eco-technologies, it solidifies its role as a trailblazer in sustainable manufacturing. With plans to expand energy-efficient innovations, the company remains steadfast in its mission to redefine industry standards while advancing the UAE’s vision for a cleaner, greener future.
