Dubai: GDRFA Dubai Hosts Grand Eid Al-Fitr Celebration for Labor Dubai, United Arab Emirates – March 27, 2025: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has announced a special Eid Al-Fitr celebration for the labor community in Al Quoz. Organized under the theme “Let’s Celebrate Eid Together,” the event is part of broader community-focused initiatives aimed at fostering social cohesion and appreciation for the labor force’s contributions to the UAE.
The celebration follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, in recognizing the vital role of workers in Dubai’s growth. In collaboration with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, the event will also include Eid prayers in a dedicated space accommodating over 10,000 worshippers before the festivities commence.

With an estimated 10,000 participants, the event will feature major prize giveaways, including cars, gold bars, and airline tickets, alongside musical performances and entertainment activities. Several strategic partners and sponsors, led by Ellington Properties as the diamond sponsor and Al Fattan, Dahkan, Atrangii app, Malabar, and du as gold sponsors, are contributing to the event’s success.
Dubai authorities, including Dubai Police, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Municipality, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, are ensuring smooth logistics and public safety.
Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of GDRFA Dubai, emphasized the labor force’s significance, stating:
“This celebration is our way of expressing gratitude and reaffirming our commitment to values of appreciation and inclusion.”

Colonel Omar Matar Al Mezaina, Assistant Director General for Labor Relations, added:
“Dubai continues to lead globally in promoting quality of life for all. This celebration reflects our efforts to bring happiness to workers and strengthen their sense of belonging in our diverse and united society.”
The initiative is part of GDRFA Dubai’s broader social responsibility efforts to enhance well-being, promote tolerance, and reinforce Dubai’s reputation as a compassionate global city.
