Dubai, UAE – Dubai has elevated its Eid Al Fitr 2025 celebrations with a blend of tradition and heartfelt initiatives, ensuring the festive spirit reaches residents, visitors, and vulnerable groups alike. While iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and Deira’s Clock Tower dazzled with special illuminations, the emirate’s true hallmark this year lay in its thoughtful gestures toward inclusivity and cultural connection.

At the forefront of these efforts, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) launched two programs to welcome travelers at Dubai International Airport (DXB). In a nod to the nation’s leadership, 1,000 copies of To Be the First—the authorized biography of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai—were gifted to arriving passengers. The initiative aimed to share the visionary journey of Dubai’s leader with global visitors, blending hospitality with cultural exchange.

The book distribution coincided with an operational inspection by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, who conducted a field tour at DXB to oversee efficiency during the holiday rush. Al Marri praised airport staff for their dedication, stating, “Our teams have gone above and beyond to ensure seamless passenger experiences, even during peak traffic. Their commitment embodies Dubai’s spirit of excellence and warmth.”

Eid greetings were personally extended to passport control officers and frontline workers, underscoring the city’s appreciation for their role in maintaining Dubai’s reputation as a global travel hub. Meanwhile, the broader festivities included gift drives for children, elderly residents, and low-income families, ensuring no community member was excluded from the celebrations.
