Dubai: Seiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724, “Epson”) is proud to announce that two of its production facilities, PT. Epson Batam(PEB) in Indonesia and Epson Precision (Thailand) Ltd. (EPTH), have achieved Platinum Recognition under the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Validated Assessment Program (VAP), based on audits conducted by RBA-approved, independent third-party firms. This achievement underscores Epson’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) within the global supply chain.
Since joining the RBA in April 2019, Epson has embraced its responsibility to achieve the highest standards in CSR by voluntarily undergoing rigorous VAP audits at its primary production sites. These audits, performed by independent, RBA-certified, third-party organizations, assess compliance with the RBA Code of Conduct in critical areas such as labor practices, health and safety, environmental standards, and ethics. PEB and EPTH successfully achieved Platinum recognition, which is granted to factories with a final VAP score of 200 and all Priority, Major and Minor findings closed.

Epson’s commitment to responsible manufacturing is underscored by successful VAP assessments across a number of sites in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China, and the Philippines, with achieving Platinum recognition. It’s reserved for facilities that have closed all findings and received a full score of 200.
Akifumi Takei, Executive Officer and General Administrative Manager, Production Planning Division at Epson, stated, “Epson remains steadfast in its commitment to uphold the RBA Code of Conduct. Our goal is to forge a sustainable and enriching society and, through the RBA’s VAP, will continue to ensure that Epson products are manufactured with the utmost regard for human rights and environmental sustainability so that customers and stakeholders can use our products and services with confidence.”
