Ajman, UAE – The city of Ajman came alive with the mellifluous strains of Urdu poetry and classical music as Radiance Events hosted a mesmerizing cultural evening, “Abhi Kuch Log Baqi Hain,” at the opulent Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel on June 1. The event, attended by a full house of poetry and music enthusiasts, showcased a vibrant blend of Mushaira (poetic symposium) and soul-stirring Ghazal performances, celebrating the richness of South Asian heritage in the UAE.

A Night of Literary and Musical Excellence
The event was inaugurated by Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, who lauded the organizers, Awais Ahmed Bhatti and Hammad Hassan Bhatti, for their dedication to promoting Urdu literature and fostering cultural exchange.


Renowned poet Abbas Tabish presided over the Mushaira, while esteemed hosts Ambreen Haseeb Amber and Shakeel Jazib captivated the audience with their eloquent compering. The poetic session featured verses from celebrated poets, including Abbas Tabish, Dr. Sabahat Asim Wasti, Ahmed Salman, Syed Jarar, Malik M. Irfan, Raza Ahmed Raza, Ahmed Ataullah, Ali Zaryoun, Suleman Jazib, Umair Najmi, Saima Aftab, Rakib Mukhtar, Zia Mazkoor, Shakeel Jazib, Ambareen Haseeb Amber and Tabish Zaidi among others, who enthralled the crowd with their evocative words.



Ghazal Maestro Shafqat Salamat Ali Khan Steals the Show
The evening transitioned into a magical Ghazal performance by the legendary Ustad Shafqat Salamat Ali Khan, whose velvety voice and classical renditions left the audience spellbound. Accompanied by his ensemble, Khan’s performance was the highlight of the night, bridging generations through timeless melodies.

Iftekhar Hamdani, General Manager of Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, extended a warm welcome to guests and presented honorary shields, reiterating the hotel’s support for cultural initiatives that enrich the community.
