Ajman, UAE – The Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with Abhi Kuch Log Baqi Hain and Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, organized a magnificent Urdu Mushaira followed by a soulful Ghazal Night at the Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel. The event featured renowned Pakistani poets and celebrated classical singer Ustad Shafqat Salamat Ali Khan, enthralling a large audience of Pakistani community members and Urdu literature enthusiasts.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Distinguished attendees included Dr. Bu Abdullah, Chairman of the Bu Abdullah Group, Dr. Rashid Alleem, and other prominent figures.

In his address, Ambassador Tirmizi praised the poets for their contributions to Urdu literature and emphasized the importance of art and culture as instruments of soft power. “It is a matter of immense pride to host our renowned poets in the UAE. Such events play a vital role in promoting Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage globally,” he stated.

The Mushaira was presided over by legendary poet Abbas Tabish and moderated by Ambareen Haseeb Amber and Shakeel Jazib. The poets included Dr. Sabahat Wasti, Ahmad Ata, Ahmed Salman, Saima Aftab, Ali Zaryoon, Umair Najmi, Rakib Mukhtar, Zia Mazkoor, Tabish Zaidi, Malik Irfan, Raza Ahmad Raza, Sulman Jazib and Syed Jarrar.

The literary evening transitioned into a melodious Ghazal Night by Ustad Shafqat Salamat Ali Khan, leaving the audience spellbound.

Ambassador Tirmizi commended the organizers and reiterated the Embassy’s commitment to supporting cultural initiatives. Special gratitude was extended to Iftekhar Hamdani, General Manager of Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, for hosting the event.

Awais Ahmad Bhatti and Hammad Hassan Bhatti expressed their appreciation to the Pakistan Embassy and Consulate General in Dubai for their support in making the event a resounding success.

The evening celebrated Urdu poetry and music, strengthening cultural ties and showcasing Pakistan’s artistic brilliance in the UAE.
