Dubai: Over 100 guests, including influencers, domestic cricket players, and employees, gathered at the private residence of Anis Sajan, Vice Chairman of Danube Group and widely known as “Mr. Cricket UAE,” for a vibrant IPL Final screening that transformed his home into a stadium-style celebration.
With no IPL matches held in the UAE this season, the event filled a void for cricket enthusiasts in the region. Anis Sajan’s mansion was decked out with a festive atmosphere, featuring a live DJ, dhol players, cricket-themed games, a pani puri competition, and even a live Virat Kohli impersonation act.
“The IPL isn’t just a cricket tournament; it’s the biggest celebration of the year after Diwali, Holi, and Eid,” said Sajan. “With no access to stadium matches for Indians living in the UAE this season, I wanted to bring that energy home. This event was about keeping the spirit of the game alive, loud, and united.”

Attendees echoed the sentiment, praising the immersive experience.
Lifestyle influencer Shanu Suresh remarked, “It wasn’t just a party, it captured the feeling of being part of the IPL.”
Chaya Mughal, former captain of the UAE Women’s National Cricket Team, added, “Anis bhai brought the stadium to the city. The energy was real.”
Angad from Danube Group commented, “This reminded me of being in the middle of an IPL crowd. It brought everyone together.”

While the UAE has previously hosted IPL matches, the absence this year was keenly felt by the local Indian community. Events like this not only helped fill that gap but also highlighted Sajan’s continued dedication to promoting cricket across the Emirates.
Though the venue was a private mansion, the atmosphere rivalled any stadium — proving that cricket’s spirit knows no boundaries.
