Swap the treadmill for indoor running events at some of Dubai’s most iconic malls, join a sunrise desert ride, or set a new personal record at a high-energy session. The action-packed schedule of fitness events is part of a citywide celebration curated by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) to keep everyone moving this summer.
Here’s what’s happening across the city:
DSS INDOOR MALL RUNS
Mall of the Emirates Run organised by Dubai Sports Council
- Date: 3 August
- Location: Mall of the Emirates
- About: Take on the course at one of Dubai’s most iconic malls, open to runners of all levels. Choose between 500m, 2.5km, 5km and 10km distances, and enjoy live results, medals and post-race photos in a friendly community setting. Prices start from AED 52.50 and registration is open until 2 August.
- Date: 10 August
- Location: WAFI City
- About: Beat the heat with a morning run through WAFI City’s indoor course, organised by Peloton Events in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council. This all-ages event offers distances from 500m to 10km, perfect for families, first-timers and competitive runners alike. Entry starts at AED 52.50, with finisher medals and a fun race-day atmosphere.
Dubai Festival City Mall Indoor Run
- Date: 31 August
- Location: Dubai Festival City Mall
- About: DSS’s indoor run race series wraps up with a final fun run through Dubai Festival City Mall. Participants can choose from 2.5km, 5km or 10km distances, with all entries including a race T-shirt and finishers’ medal. Early bird prices start at AED 85.
CITYWIDE FITNESS EVENTS
ELEVATE RunClub Interval Sessions: 5K PB Era
- Date: 9 August
- Location: ISD Dubai Sports City
- About: Level up your speed, stamina and form with this high-impact evening track session led by coach Akram Berkani. Running from 8pm to 9:15pm, it’s designed to help you chase that elusive 5K personal best. Entry is AED 85, including track access and coaching.
DXB SkaterBoard
- Date: 17 August
- Location: DXB Bike
- About: Skateboarding takes centre stage in this all-ages community event welcoming pros, fans and beginners alike. Expect jumps, tricks and skills training under the guidance of expert instructors. Entry is free and open to all.
Bikeera Saturday Al Qudra Community Ride
- Date: 26 July, 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 August
- Location: Al Qudra Cycling Track
- About: Catch the sunrise with a group ride along Al Qudra’s scenic desert track. Join the Bikeera community for weekly 6 AM cycling sessions along the 86 KM Al Qudra track. Designed for endurance, connection and sunrise views, the desert ride is split into two pace groups, 37km/h and 34km/h, and open to cyclists of all levels. Registration is required.

- Location: Dubai World Trade Centre
- About: From football to cricket, tennis, badminton and more, Dubai Sports World is the region’s largest indoor sporting venue. Gather your friends, book a court, join a sports academy or sign up for a summer tournament in air-conditioned comfort at Za’abeel Halls 3 – 6.
