Dubai, UAE – The Consulates General of Pakistan and the Philippines in Dubai convened a collaborative meeting to exchange best practices on diaspora welfare and legal support services. The session, held at the Philippine Consulate General, aimed to enhance assistance for expatriate workers in the UAE.

Representing Pakistan were Community Welfare Attachés Imran Shahid and Junaid Murtaza, while the Philippine delegation included Consul Aleah Marie Gica and Consul John Rio Bautista. Discussions centered on key areas such as legal awareness for low-income workers, cooperation with UAE authorities on labor issues, and capacity-building initiatives for welfare officers.

Both sides emphasized the importance of joint outreach programs and regular coordination through workshops and knowledge-sharing efforts to improve support for their communities. The meeting underscored a shared commitment to safeguarding migrant workers’ rights and welfare in the UAE.

The consulates agreed to strengthen collaboration in organizing future awareness campaigns and streamlining assistance for expatriates facing legal and employment challenges.
