Dubai, UAE – The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai commemorated the 78th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day today with a flag-hoisting ceremony filled with national pride and enthusiasm. The event, attended by a large number of Pakistani community members, marked a moment of reflection and celebration.
The ceremony featured the reading of messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister. Hussain Muhammad, the Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, extended a warm welcome to attendees and offered heartfelt congratulations on the occasion.

In his address, the Consul General paid tribute to Pakistan’s resilience and unity, specifically highlighting recent successes against external aggression. He described Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos as historic milestones and “shining examples of Pakistan’s professional excellence and unwavering national resolve.”

Muhammad urged the Pakistani diaspora to continue their constructive role in the development of both the UAE and Pakistan. He commended their significant contributions to the prosperity of the host country and their consistent support for their homeland.

The Consul General also expressed gratitude to the UAE government for its support, specifically acknowledging the collaboration with the Emirates Loves Pakistan and the Pakistan Association Dubai for the grand Independence Day celebrations held at Expo City Dubai on August 10, 2025.

The event concluded with cultural performances, including national songs by students from the Pakistan Education Academy Dubai, and a quiz competition, fostering a sense of community and shared heritage among the participants.
