Dubai: Seasoned opening batter Muhammad Waseem has been named captain of the 15-member UAE men’s cricket squad for the upcoming Inverex Solar Energy presents Bank Alfalah T20I Tri-Series 2025. The tournament, which also features Pakistan and Afghanistan, is set to begin on Friday, August 29, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
The series will serve as crucial preparation for all three teams ahead of the eight-team ACC Asia Cup 2025, which the UAE will host starting September 9. The UAE’s first match of the tri-series is scheduled for Saturday, August 30, against Pakistan.
The complete UAE squad includes:
- Captain: Muhammad Waseem
- Players: Alishan Sharafu, Asif Khan, Dhruv Parashar, Ethan D’ Souza, Haider Ali, Harshit Kaushik, Junaid Siddique, Muhammad Farooq, Muhammad Jawadullah, Muhammad Zohaib, Rohid Khan, and Saghir Khan.
- Wicketkeepers: Aryansh Sharma and Rahul Chopra.

The support staff for the team consists of Amjad Ezzi (team manager), Lalchand Rajput (head coach), Azharuddin Qureshi (strength and conditioning coach), Manipreet Sidhu (video analyst), and Manish Pradeshi (physiotherapist).
