Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) is poised to become the region’s new centre for classical horsemanship, announcing its official opening with a remarkable two-day gala on 1 and 2 November. The 65,000-square-metre estate on Jubail Island is dedicated to preserving, performing, and teaching the haute école tradition of equestrian art, cementing the UAE’s position alongside four historic global institutions.

The opening weekend promises an unforgettable, historic event, as ADREA hosts a joint performance with all four existing heritage schools of classical horsemanship—a display never before seen on one stage. This rare convergence will introduce ADREA as the fifth institution globally dedicated to this ancient art form, joining schools in Austria, Spain, Portugal, and France.

The prestigious line-up includes:

  • The Spanish Riding School: Bringing the world-renowned Lipizzaner stallions and the elegance of the “ballet of the white stallions.”
  • The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Arts: Showcasing the passion and tradition of Andalusia’s famed “dancing horses.”
  • The Portuguese School of Equestrian Art: Highlighting the precision and heritage of the Lusitano horse.
  • The Cadre Noir De Saumur: Presenting its unique fusion of haute école horsemanship and performing arts.

Completing the extraordinary ensemble, Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) will debut its own riders and horses. The school aims to introduce the UAE’s first permanent home for classical horsemanship, blending Emirati heritage with timeless haute école tradition, adding a new dimension to the art form.
