Dubai, UAE – The His Highness Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistani School, Dubai, is celebrating a significant milestone after its principal, Aisha Nasim, was awarded the prestigious UAE Golden Visa. This recognition, conferred by the Dubai government, highlights her profound and outstanding contributions to education in the emirate, making her one of the first Pakistani educators to receive the honour.
The award underscores Nasim’s six years of tireless commitment and strong leadership in fostering academic excellence and creating impactful learning environments within the community school. It also reflects the strong role of the school’s governing board in steering the institution towards continuous improvement and academic success.
A Historic Milestone for a Community School
For the His Highness Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistani School, which operates with limited resources but meets the same high standards and compliance as all other Dubai schools, this recognition marks a historic milestone.
The School Board nominated Nasim for her extraordinary efforts in transforming the school into one of the most progressive community institutions. Despite financial limitations, the school, under her leadership, has flourished as a model of a community-driven institution, upholding high academic and moral standards through strategic planning, innovation, and genuine care for its students.
Nasim’s philosophy, “excellence is not about having more, but about doing more with what you have,” perfectly encapsulates the spirit driving her work.
Leadership and Academic Credentials
Aisha Nasim boasts impressive academic credentials, including two master’s degrees—one in Economics and another in Educational Leadership from Middlesex University—complemented by a Cambridge Diploma in Educational Leadership. Her expertise was recognised globally with an Outstanding Leadership Award at the Education 2.0 Las Vegas in 2022.

A certified Life Coach and NLP Coach, Nasim has always prioritised the well-being, confidence, and voice of students, ensuring that no learner is left behind. These qualifications have deepened her ability to mentor, motivate, and inspire both teachers and students.
Expressing her excitement, Aisha Nasim highlighted the demanding role of educators in Dubai: “I believe in hard work and always strive for excellence, as educators in Dubai hold a tough and evolving responsibility ensuring compliance with KHDA standards while nurturing the holistic growth of students.”
She acknowledged the crucial and supportive role of the KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority), commending its efforts in training educators, guiding new policies, and driving innovation.
“The needs and requirements of the profession are getting tougher day by day,” she added, “but initiatives like the Golden Visa motivate teachers to take this noble profession even more seriously, with renewed commitment and pride.”
Board Commends Principal and School’s Progress
Muhammad Al Qamzi, chairman of the School Board, welcomed the UAE’s recognition of educators and congratulated Nasim, expressing immense pride in the school’s progress.
“This is truly an honour for our community school, which continues to strive for better results and improved facilities,” he stated, reiterating the board’s commitment to upgrading the school and providing the necessary resources. “I am confident that under Ms Aisha’s strong leadership and clear vision, we will continue to take the school forward.”
In a further testament to the school’s culture of excellence, Principal Nasim also nominated Farah, a senior Social Studies teacher, for the Golden Visa. Having served the school with dedication since 2010, Farah successfully led her department to a ‘very good’ rating under the KHDA inspection and strengthened the integration of UAE culture and heritage into the curriculum.
Her recognition under the same initiative further reflects the school’s commitment to the UAE’s educational vision.
