Dubai, UAE – The Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC Dubai) has taken a significant step towards inclusive development by launching a specialized Financial Awareness Program designed to empower blue-collar workers with essential financial literacy.

In collaboration with the Tristar Group, the inaugural session was successfully held at the Jebel Ali Labour Camp this past weekend, attracting over 100 participants. The initiative delivered practical, easy-to-understand financial guidance focusing on the everyday needs of workers, offering tools for informed decision-making regarding saving, budgeting, and managing their earnings effectively.

The program aligns with IBPC Dubai’s broader commitment to social responsibility and aims to improve the quality of life for those who form the backbone of the UAE’s economy.

The session was spearheaded by Dr. Nilay Ranjan Singh, BFSI Convenor at IBPC Dubai and CEO of SBI, with content meticulously curated by Dr. Manju Menon to ensure maximum clarity and relevance.

Welcoming the attendees, IBPC Dubai Secretary General Dr. Sahitya Chaturvedi underscored the critical role of financial empowerment in elevating the participants’ quality of life. On-ground execution was efficiently managed by Balaji Nagbhushan, while Amitava Banerjee personally distributed gifts to the attendees.

Senior IBPC members, including Surendra Kandhari, Dinesh Kothari, Sunil Sinha, Eugene, and Venkat Pencilman, lent their support to the initiative, extending their best wishes and commending the collaborative effort.

Siddharth Balachandran, Chairman of IBPC Dubai, articulated the council’s mission: “Financial literacy is not a luxury; it is a necessity. We are proud to lead with purpose and invite our business community to replicate such impactful initiatives across the UAE.”

This program marks the start of a wider effort by IBPC Dubai to mobilize its extensive network for launching similar CSR-driven educational initiatives, reinforcing the council’s vision of sustainable and inclusive growth across the Emirates.
