Abu Dhabi, UAE – Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic and trade relations during a high-level meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Commerce, called on Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The two officials reviewed the current state of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, expressing mutual resolve to expand collaboration across key sectors. Discussions focused on enhancing investment flows, boosting exports, and exploring new avenues for joint ventures between the two countries.

Khan extended his gratitude to the UAE leadership and people for their longstanding support and warm hospitality. He praised the UAE’s role as one of Pakistan’s most significant economic partners in the Gulf region.
Also in attendance was Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counselor at the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai.
Both sides reiterated that Pakistan and the UAE — described as “brotherly nations” — share a longstanding relationship rooted in shared values and regional cooperation. The meeting concluded with a pledge to accelerate ongoing initiatives aimed at deepening commercial engagement.
